The Back Story

This jumpstarted my sewing career...

My then nine year-old grandson was visiting and he asked, "grandma, remember the quilt you made me when I was a baby?  I said yes.  He looked up at me and said, "that blanket you made me doesn’t fit me anymore."  I told him we would have to do something about that.

Now I did not have a sewing machine at the time, but I knew my neighbor had one that she was no longer using.  I called her and asked if I could buy it from her and she said I could have it.

I didn’t know what I was doing, but I kept trying and finally learned how to sew.  I have sewn and ripped out stiches over and over again.

I started by making simple blankets and then making 'mommy and me' pet beds.  I now make table cloths, bedspreads, 'breast feeding' blankets, 'tummy time' blankets, and baby quilts.  I enjoy showing my artistic side.

Having worked all my life I am now partially retired and enjoy making people happy.
